In Any Normal Day

In any normal day

Your face is a poem bouncing on the edges of my fingers

In any normal day

Your voice dances in the chambers of my heart

In any normal day

You walk through my veins

Like a magic secret potion

Of happiness.

In any normal day

Your breath is the wind that stirs the quiet curtains

A soft rhythm I follow through the halls

Mapping the distance between us

Until there is no distance at all.

In any normal day

Your laughter is the golden ink

Writing sunbeams across the floor

Turning the mundane into a miracle

And leaving me wanting nothing more...
