Where skin meets breath

 I hold onto hope

That parallel worlds are not just a theory,

But truth written in the folds of time.

And somewhere out there,

In one of those unseen realms,

I kiss you when I please,

Hold you when my heart aches,

Watch you wear my shirt with the hush of morning

And slide my hands beneath its warmth

Where skin meets breath

Not to claim,

 But to feel

That in one universe, at least,

You are already mine.
